Ms Wharton's grave is a desolation

I have been to Versailles communal cemetery this week-end to visit Edith Wharton's grave. It is unkempt, her name is unlegible and obliterated and if it was not for a very diligent cemetery guardian, we would never have found it.

I must say that we were shocked.

I live in Paris, and would be very happy to assist any organisation who would take the necessary measures to insure her tomb is renovated and properly kept.

If you know of the estate or other organisation who should be contacted in this regard, please inform me.

Best regards,
